From Marrakech, drive via the saffron town of Taliouine and Foum Zguid to Erg Chigaga for two nights at a fixed camp with electricity and bathrooms, including a full day in the dunes with a camel ride. Then cross the desert to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, and finish with a night at Aït Benhaddou before returning to Marrakech.

Itinerary
- Day 1: Marrakech – Taliouine – Foum Zguid – Erg ChigagaEarly pick-up at your riad and drive over the Atlas with stops in Taliouine (saffron) and Foum Zguid, the last village before the desert. Afternoon arrival at the dunes of Chigaga. Traditional dinner under the stars with nomad music at a fixed camp with electricity, bathrooms, mattresses and blankets.
- Day 2: Full day in Erg ChigagaA whole day in the dunes: camel ride, sandy walks or simply relaxing. Lunch is included at the camp, followed by dinner and another evening of music.
- Day 3: Erg Chigaga – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)Drive across desert landscapes of regs, dunes and oases to Merzouga. Welcome at a fixed camp at the foot of Erg Chebbi, dinner and night under the stars.
- Day 4: Merzouga – Aït BenhaddouCross Saharan and mountain scenery to the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. Free lunch on the road, dinner and night in a riad or traditional inn.
- Day 5: Aït Benhaddou – MarrakechAfter breakfast, return over the Atlas through picturesque villages. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

What are the desert camps like?
Both Chigaga and Merzouga camps are fixed camps with private rooms, electricity, bathrooms, mattresses and blankets, so you get comfort without leaving the dunes.
Which meals are included?
Four dinners and four breakfasts, plus lunch on day 2 at the Chigaga camp. Lunches on the road are at your own expense.
How much driving is there?
Days 1, 3 and 4 are long driving days across the south, broken up by scenic stops; day 2 is entirely spent in the dunes.
What fitness level is required?
The tour is suitable for everyone. Walking is moderate and the camel ride is optional; comfortable shoes are all you need.
