Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – DadesDeparture at 7am from your accommodation. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), visit the kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, stop in Ouarzazate (Taourirt kasbah and film studios, entrance optional) and follow the road of a thousand kasbahs through Skoura. Dinner and night in a guesthouse at Boumalne Dades.
  2. Day 2: Dades – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)Walk into the Todra Gorge, then continue through Tinjedad, Erfoud and Rissani to Merzouga. Late afternoon camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, dinner and night in a desert camp.
  3. Day 3: Merzouga – MarrakechSunrise on the dunes, breakfast and the long drive back to Marrakech (around 540 km) through the Draa and Dades landscapes, arriving in the evening.
